چکیده

Tomatoes are the most familiar and common greenhouse vegetable crop in Turkey, as well worldwide. Main whitefly species problematic greenhouses, where tomatoes grown primarily, is Bemisia tabaci Genn. (Hemiptera: Aleyrodidae) Mediterranean Region of Turkey. Serangium parcesetosum Sicard (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae) proved a coccinellid predator B. voracious feeder by several studies. The hypothesis “the outcome biological control program determined initial pest to ratio” was examined on caged tomato greenhouses. current study showed influence density population growth rate, which independent absence or presence S. (P> 0.05) for × release interaction). No significant differences suppression from predation were monitored between two densities both years. reduced high moderate cages 2-3 weeks after releasing ladybird beetles. During experiment, copulating adults, larvae, pupae predatory beetle observed predator-releasing cages. These results indicated that can survive reproduce plants production during spring months Mediterraenean region

Resistance of soybean genotypes to Bemisia tabaci (Genn.) Biotype B (Hemiptera: Aleyrodidae).

The silverleaf whitefly Bemisia tabaci (Genn.) biotype B has become a serious problem for soybean cultivation because it can significantly reduce soybean productivity. The use of soybean cultivars resistant to whitefly attack is an important strategy in an integrated pest management (IPM) program. This study evaluated the preference for oviposition and colonization by B. tabaci biotype B on dif...

Direct and Indirect Impacts of Infestation of Tomato Plant by Myzus persicae (Hemiptera: Aphididae) on Bemisia tabaci (Hemiptera: Aleyrodidae)

The impacts of infestation by the green peach aphid (Myzus persicae) on sweetpotato whitefly (Bemisia tabaci) settling on tomato were determined in seven separate experiments with whole plants and with detached leaves through manipulation of four factors: durations of aphid infestation, density of aphids, intervals between aphid removal after different durations of infestation and the time of w...

Protecting Unrooted Cuttings From Bemisia tabaci (Hemiptera Aleyrodidae) During Propagation

In North America, the sweetpotato whitefly, Bemisia tabaci Genn., is an important pest of greenhouse poinsettia. Growers have limited options to control this pest during propagation of cuttings, which are rooted under mist for several weeks. Early establishment of this pest increases the difficulty of managing the whitefly and retaining high aesthetic standard during the remaining crop producti...

Host Plants-associated Population Variations of Bemisia Tabaci (genn.) (hemiptera: Sternorrhyncha: Aleyrodidae) Characterized with Random Dna Markers

Whitefly, Bemisia tabaci is an important sucking pest of field, horticultural and ornamental plants causing feeding injuries besides spreading disease by acting as a vector of Gemini viruses. The polyphagous nature of the pest makes it as a highly complex species. The influence of six host plants utilized by the species on the population differences at molecular level was attempted using Random...

INTERACTION BETWEEN RESISTANT TOMATO GENOTYPES AND PLANT EXTRACTS ON Bemisia tabaci (GENN.) BIOTYPE B

The tomato (Lycopersicon spp.) productivity is severely reduced by attack of several insects and microorganisms. It is economically one of the most important crops that has been extensively cultivated in the Americas. Therefore, assays were performed in the greenhouse and the laboratory to evaluate the possible interaction between resistant tomato genotypes and plant extracts on the control of ...
